The screen size, or its diagonal, has a significant impact on the convenience of using a phone. Besides considerations about appropriate visibility of the image on the display and the comfort of using its touch functions, the screen size is directly related to the dimensions of the smartphone itself. A compact device with a 4" screen fits perfectly in a pocket, while a smartphone with a 5.5" display is less portable but offers greater comfort for viewing images, reading texts, and manual operation. SCREEN RATIOS

The result of such a solution is a larger workspace with unchanged width of the smartphone itself because only its height increases, making it comfortable to hold in one hand.

To enable an increase in screen size while maintaining the existing width of the smartphone, which determines our comfort, manufacturers increasingly design bezel-less models where the screen occupies almost the entire front of the device. The speaker and front camera are then located on a cutout at the top of the display, called a notch.
